HK Society North-East Annual Dinner

For the second year running, the NE Region’s Annual Dinner will be held in the warmly welcoming Phoenix Restaurant in Newcastle’s Chinatown. We can at the same time celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival there too!

Date: Monday 5th Oct 2026

Time: 7pm Cash Bar; 7.30pm Dinner

Venue: Phoenix Restaurant, Newcastle

Cost: £30 (plus £5 for those served wine)

Dress code: Smart casual

Our speaker for the evening will be another good friend Chris Fraser OBE. Chris was co-Founding Chairman of our branch back in 2014. He worked in Hong Kong for over 20 years, first in the Royal HK Police and with the with British Consulate General at the time of the run-up to Hong Kong’s reversion to China. He will speak on his unique experiences in these two very challenging roles.
