THE YEAR OF THE FIRE HORSE
will be an auspicious year for
bold action, innovation,
new beginnings and
rapid progress, all of which will
be amplified by the Fire elements
of passion, energy and drive!
So, to welcome all of the above into this coming year, enjoy a celebration with members (and guests):
Friday 20 February 2026
2-4 p.m.
Edinburgh
Since this will be a year for bold action and innovation, the Chinese New Year gathering of 2026 will attempt to represent these qualities…….a departure from the type of event I usually aim to arrange around the Spring celebrations: enjoy free-flow drinks (wines, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), substantial canapés (essentially, a late lunch on your *feet!) and, of course, the convivial company of fellow members of The Hong Kong Society.
Please register by 30 January if you plan to attend this Chinese New Year celebration. After that date, I shall ask for confirmed attendance and payment. In the meantime I can let you know that the (incredibly affordable) cost of the afternoon’s proceedings will be:
Members: £25
Guests: £30
I so look forward to hearing that you will be able to attend!
With all good wishes, Fiona Lauder (HKS Scottish Convenor)
