The start of the Chinese New Year 2026 falls on Tuesday 17th February, beginning the cycle of the year of the Fire Horse. In Chinese culture, the horse represents intelligence, courage, and diligence, while fire is a symbol of light and warmth. The Year of the Fire Horse is expected to be full of breakthroughs, innovations, and rapid changes – many fortune-tellers are already predicting big technological advances, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and medicine. People are encouraged to chase their dreams in the coming year, as it will present many golden opportunities.

Our CNY Dinner’s are always very popular, and places tend to sell out quite early on, so do register as soon as possible to confirm your place. Contact communications@hkas.org.uk to register.
