Speaker Bio
Mr Daniel R. Fung, SBS, SC, QC (Hon), JP, is Vice-Chairman of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) of Hong Kong. Called to the English Bar in 1975 and the Hong Kong Bar in 1977, he was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1990 and served as Solicitor General of Hong Kong from 1994 to 1998 under the last British Governor (Chris Patten) and the first Chief Executive (C.H. Tung). He was a member of the Basic Law Consultative Committee from 1985 to 1990. Over a distinguished career, he has held leading roles in legal practice, regulation, academia and in major international organisations.
