  • Matthew became Chairman of the Hong Kong Business Network in July 2021. He is the Founder & CEO of Eyton Capital, a firm providing board advisory and non-executive director services to institutional clients, and a Partner at ndapt, where he specialises in providing professional independent trustee services to pension funds.

    He is a former CEO of the CERN Pension Fund where he had responsibility for managing CERN's US$5 billion investment portfolio in public equity, private equity, venture capital, fixed income, commercial real estate, hedge funds, timber, farmland, and money markets. In 2017, he was ranked number 6 in the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute Public Investor 100 Rankings of the most significant and impactful public investor executives, and in 2019 under his leadership the CERN Pension Fund was awarded the Best Pension Fund Governance in Europe by Capital Finance International.

    Matthew is a member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network, a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Liveryman at the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, and a Freeman of the City of London. He has previously served on the Alumni Council at Cambridge Judge Business School, as a board member at Villiers Park Educational Trust, and a member of the Integrity Committee at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. In addition, he spent several years serving in the Royal Navy Reserve and is a strong supporter of naval and maritime charities.

  • Charles was senior managing partner at Linklaters both in HK and London, after which he sat on the boards of a number of Jardine Matheson companies as well as the HK Association Committee.

  • Formerly based in Hong Kong from 2003 - 2014 where he was Head of the Derivatives practice in the APAC region, Paget specialises in exchange and OTC-traded derivatives and other financial market products.

  • Andrew Davis was formerly Head of Investment Promotion, UK Office for Invest Hong Kong, the government department responsible for attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment into Hong Kong. He InvestHK in 2010 initially as Associate Director-General in the Hong Kong Head Office. He led the Tourism & Hospitality, Creative Industries, Consumer Products, Business & Professional Services and Transport & Industrial sector specialist teams. In mid 2015, he relocated to the UK to lead the UK Team. Prior to joining InvestHK, he worked in both investment promotion and trade development for International Business Wales and its predecessor the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) for more than 13 years in a number of different senior roles, including the Director of Trade & Investment London. He is an Asia-Pacific specialist, having spent much of his career in the region, including over 19 years in Hong Kong. At the WDA, Andrew had a number of roles including Executive Vice President Asia Pacific, Director of Strategic Accounts, and Vice President – ASEAN and Hong Kong. Before joining the WDA in 1996, he worked predominantly in Asia Pacific with a financial services, procurement and consultancy agency, including postings in Papua New Guinea and Malaysia.

  • Dominic is the head of Mayer Brown’s banking and finance group in Europe and co-leads the global practice, representing financial institutions and companies across a broad spectrum of domestic and international financing transactions.

  • With HSBC since 2008, James spent four years in Hong Kong as Head of Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Asia Pacific, before returning to the UK as Managing Director of Advisory and Investment Banking Coverage.

  • Fluent Cantonese and Mandarin speaker and HK born, Edith specialises in advising institutional lenders, private banks, non-bank lenders, borrowers and private equity and venture capital firms on a variety of banking and finance transactions.

  • Susan heads the Infrastructure, Returns and Regulatory department, Wholesale Credit and Lending Transformation divison, having spent most of her career in HK.

  • With over 20 years in finance, Susan moved into angel investing and philanthropy, sitting on many high profile boards as a trustee.

  • Raymond serves as Head of EMEA Business Development representing HKEX in the region. He is responsible for business development and relationship management of EMEA based banks, brokers, listed structured product issuers, asset managers and asset owners. Partnering with this important group of clients to optimise how they face HKEX. He actively promotes and educates clients on equities, fixed income products, and clearing solution covering listed derivatives, Stock Connect and OTC Clear. He plays an active role in developing enhancements to existing suite of products as well as a broad strategic focus on the ongoing developments of Stock Connect and market microstructure in the HK market (covering both cash equities and derivatives).

  • Janice brings 30 years of experience from the finance, mainly investment management, industry working for the largest global financial organisations headquartered in the US, Europe and UK. Her main responsibilities have been devising and executing business strategy for the multi-cultural Asia Pacific region to deliver financial targets and exceptional client servicing to the largest institutional investors, including official institutions, public and private pensions. Her latest executive role involved building a US$ 40 billion client book and establishing her firm as the market leader in ESG in the region. As a license holder responsible to regulators, her insights into risk management and compliance practice are crucial to her success.
