Yauatcha City

Another eatery founded by acclaimed restaurateur Alan Yau (who has since left), Yauatcha offers fine Chinese dining with accessible prices. Think contemporary tea house with quality dim sum, complemented by warm service and sleek interiors.

There are the traditional choices, such as 'cheung fun', 'har gau' and sticky rice - all very authentic and well presented - as well as more modern takes such as the edamame truffle dumplings and spicy soft shell crab. However, if you are looking for something beyond dim sum, the Peking duck (as well as assortment of seafood) are all well done.

Yauatcha has two locations in London, but the Broadgate site wins for being in the heart of the City (perfect for a post-work dinner) and the seating and atmosphere is arguably more refined (including the terrace on summer nights). For those with a sweet tooth, Yauatcha also operates a patisserie on-site, with cakes and other sweets reminiscent of the cake shops and bakeries in Hong Kong. If you prefer champagne with your dumplings, there is also the weekend brunch."
