The aim of the Hong Kong Society is to provide a focus for individuals so that they can develop and nurture continued close links between UK and Hong Kong and also so that they can keep in touch with each other.
The current membership is 1,100 and is open to anyone who has lived in Hong Kong. The subscription is currently only £30 per year and this provides for husbands and wives.
The Society organises a number of well attended lunches and dinners every year. It also arranges a Big Event once every three years: this event includes Beating Retreat, a large dinner and dance which is attended by over 1,000 people.
The Society is forming a Younger Members Group which will generate a programme of particular interest to those who are young at heart.
